FROM THEIR WEBSITE: [also see pictures below] Heather and Jeremiah Crowley cook up 8 pounds of bacon every week for their family of five – besides the hundreds of pounds of artisanal bacon they cook and serve on their new food truck: Lardon. |

A native Angeleno and transplant New Yorker, the Crowleys raise three little piggies and a dog in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood. Their love for bacon extends beyond the obvious; they’re always thinking of new ways to use it, finding new types of artisanal bacon, and adding bacon to other dishes that they love.
One day, Heather and Jerry were having margaritas on their porch and realized that what they needed to do was open a bacon restaurant. Earlier this year, after Heather finished her Masters at UCLA, a series of serendipitous events led her to work on a few of the city’s food trucks. She was able to learn the business of food trucking from LA’s food truck gurus. Not long after that, the bacon restaurant idea turned into a bacon food truck. The Crowley’s passion for great food pushed their home cooked recipes on the road in Fall 2010 and they haven’t looked back. In fact, they’ve left the scent of bacon (and a hoard of satisfied customers) in their wake as they drive Lardon around Southern California -– and beyond.
