The inaugural "Dinner Under the Stars" took place on Wednesday, Sept 8, 2010, at Alpine Village in Torrance, California.
It was a huge success and will become a regular spot say organizers Rob from Munchie Machine and Glenn from Chasing Trucks. And every week, different trucks will be featured - 5 regular food and 1 sweet truck.
It is rare that LA/OC-based food trucks venture to the South Bay during the week and if they do, it is usually only a singular truck making the trek.
So when news got out that 6 trucks were coming to Alpine Village, local paper The Daily Breeze wrote about it - http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/ci_16007982.
With "Dinner Under the Stars", foodies in the South Bay now have 2 nights out of the week to sample from various food trucks - Thursday nights at K1 Speed in Gardena and Wednesday nights at Alpine Village in Torrance. SB foodies rejoice!
